| Rebecca Hunter, Funeral Director Rebecca was born and raised in Hamilton,Ontario and was licensed as a funeral director in 1991. From the very start Rebecca knew that Funeral Service was her calling, and she has a passion for her life's work. In January of 1998 Rebecca married Kim Hunter, also a licensed funeral director. The Hunters moved to Milton in September of 2005 from Scarborough where Rebecca operated a funeral establishment for seven years before she and Kim realized their lifelong dream of being in business for themselves. She and Kim live in a historic home on the funeral home property with their son Jake, who is a student at W.I. Dick School. Rebecca is an active Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow as well as a member of St. Paul's United Church here in Milton. A member of the Evening Star, Rebekah Lodge - a supporter of Halton Women in Motion - Rebecca enjoys meeting fellow business persons and supporting local causes. |
| Kim Hunter, Funeral Director Kim, husband of Rebecca, was born and raised in the town of Meaford, Ontario. Kim was trained in Barrie, Ontario and received his funeral director's license in 1976. He has worked in many aspects of the funeral profession, and is an enthusiastic participant in community events of all kinds. Like his wife, Kim is also a Rotarian, currently the Past President of the Acton Club; has volunteered with hospices, hospitals and charitable organizations of various kinds. Notably he is a member of the Foundation Board of Milton District Hospital. He has an avid interest in military history and is a collector of die cast farm implements and military replicas. Both he and Rebecca are excited to have moved to Milton and are overwhelmed with the warm and gracious welcome they have received. Their decision to raise their son in this thriving community has been one of the best they have made. |
| Adam Crapsi, Funeral Director Adam was born in and continues to reside in Hamilton, Ontario and is a newly licensed funeral director with 5 years of experience in the funeral profession. Adam began his career as a receptionist at Swackhamer, Blachford and Wray Funeral Home in Hamilton, attended Humber College and completed his internship at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Homes in Toronto. Adam successfully received his license in 2010. While at Humber College Adam was the Chief Organizer and Fundraiser for the Funeral Service Education Program Formal and President of the Funeral Program Club. Adam was awarded The Ontario Funeral Service Associations’ Past Presidents’ Award in 2009 for his achievements during the school year. In 2007 Adam graduated from Brock University with a BA in Political Science. He also sat on the Charity Committee for the Brock Off Campus Society A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Adam has held the positions of Elders’ Quorum Secretary, Activities Committee Team Member as well as Family Home Evening Coordinator in the Young Single Adults Branch in Stoney Creek, Ontario. We are pleased to have Adam here with us on a part time basis at J. Scott Early Funeral Home. His professionalism and warmth are an asset to our team. |
| Laura Vanderleest, Funeral Director Laura grew up in Milton and worked part time for the Early family while attending Bishop Reding High School. Following that she attended Humber College where she earned her funeral director's license in 2005. Currently a resident of Acton, Laura is married and a mother to two daughters. Having worked in Mississauga prior to returning home to Milton, Laura has vast experience in many cultural traditions. In her leisure time she likes to spend time with her family and friends and enjoys outdoor pursuits such as camping and hiking. |
